In December 1999, BBSS Gallup International - Branch Office Prishtina, measured the public opinion in Kosova. Here find presented results of the questions about what people perceive to be the most important event in the second half of the twentieth century and which issue should be viewed as the most actual for Kosova in the next century. The respondents were also asked in another question taken from the Gallup International Millennium's Poll, about the things that matter most in life.
Sample of the survey was 1000 respondents - Albanian inhabitants, aged 18 years plus, representative of the Albanian population of Kosova. The survey's method was face-to-face interview in-home of respondent, sampling principles based on a stratified random selection procedure.

Cross-tabulations to these two questions reveal that of those, who think that the Formation of the UÇK and beginning of armed conflict was the most important event for Kosova in the second half of the twentieth century, 46.9% answer that the Final resolution of the political status of Kosova is the most actual issue for Kosova in the next century; and another 23% of them go for the Integration of Kosova in the International Community. From the respondents who think the Intervention of NATO troops in Kosova and establishment of the UN Civil Administration should be considered the most important event for Kosova in the second half of the twentieth century, 46.2% has chosen Final resolution of the political status of Kosova as the hottest topic for Kosova in the next century, while another 32.3% has opted for the Integration of Kosova in the International Community.

As regards the gender split in the answers to the first question, considerable prevalence of male respondents could be find in modalities "Beginning of 90's peaceful resistance" (65.4% M vs. 34.6% F), "Movement to prevent blood revenge" (66.7% M vs. 33.3% F) and "Formation of the UÇK and beginning of armed conflict" (62.5% M vs. 37.5% F).

Dividing the sample in 3 relatively proportional to the overall population age groups, of 18-30, 31-50 and 51+, the only modality in the first question, which shows significantly higher percentage of the younger people (44.8%), is the answer Formation of the UÇK and the beginning of armed conflict. Compared to it, the internal profile of the respondents to the answer 1968 students' protests gives 9.1% of the first age group, 68.2% of those 31-50 years aged and 22.7% of persons over 51 years old.
As for the second question, the only option to see a margin of a female preference over that of the male respondents lies in the answer Rapid economic and industrial development of Kosova (54.2% F vs. 45.8% M).
