Most important problem in Kosova

With the end of talks on the status of Kosova in Vienna and with the placement of this issue on the international agenda, the eyes of public opinion in Kosova also turns towards the political status of Kosova as a main problem, leaving unemployment and other issues as less important for the time being.

Main priorities after the resolution of status

Citizens of Kosova believe that the most important priority for the Kosova leadership after the resolution of the political status of Kosova is rule of law. Citizens would also like to see the issue of healthcare, education and energy as other priorities to be addressed after the resolution of the political status of Kosova.

Trust in institutions

Although KPC and KPS remain most trusted institutions among citizens, this trust had continued the falling trend from last year. The decrease of trust has also continued for UNMIK Police and the LDK, whereas trust has started to build back on the Negotiating Team, the PDK and the AAK. Movement “Vetëvendosje” enjoys the lowest trust among citizens.

Approval of leaders and personalities

In spite of a small fall in approval, Prime Minister Çeku and President Sejdiu are the most supported leaders in the political scene of Kosova, together with ex-Prime Minister Haradinaj. Whereas approval for leaders such as Daci, Pacolli and Berisha has fallen, leaders of the current opposition, Thaçi and Surroi have marked a significant increase in their approval.

Voting intentions

After the break-up of LDK and after the appearance of Daci’s LDD and Pacolli’s AKR in the scene, this political scene in Kosova has never been more divided.
